School Community Relations

Every person is a child of God. These words rest quietly on the front of the Agape Chapel of St. George's Collierville campus. This is the resounding theme that lives in every fiber of our school. From this foundational belief comes a commitment to respect the dignity of every human being and forge connections among our campuses and with the broader community. Our three-campus model, which promotes relationships between urban and suburban students and their families, is unique in the world of independent education. At the heart of the vision is the recognition that relationships developed at an early age can bridge racial and economic barriers and eventually contribute to a more harmonious community. Ours is a long-term vision in which students from our elementary campuses in Germantown and Memphis develop relationships that endure and thrive when they transfer to our Collierville campus. We seek out opportunities for continual collaboration with Memphis and Shelby county schools, and partnership with community leaders.
We are intentional in developing ways to bring our three campuses together. The resulting activities include joint field trips, learning opportunities, and social events that help students and their families build cross-campus relationships.
St. George's Independent School admits and welcomes qualified girls and boys of any race, color, creed, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities of our schools.
