This will be the only meeting of its kind for the school year. Following the informational meeting, individual teams for fall sports will be holding parent meetings. (Some teams may have already held their meetings) You will have the opportunity to meet your child’s coaches, hear team rules, and find out what you can do to help the season run smoothly. Parent meetings for all winter and spring sports will be held as each season approaches.

ATHLETIC STUDENT TRAINER OPPORTUNITY

St. George’s Sports Medicine is looking for students who are interested in the medical profession to become student athletic trainers.  Any student in 9th - 12th grade is welcomed to help the staff of athletic trainers and doctors who make up the sports medicine team. If you are considering any type of health care related field, this is a great opportunity for you!  As an athletic training student you will be able to learn skills that will help you jump start your college carrier into the profession that you choose, whether it is an athletic trainer, doctor, nurse, etc.  Being a part of the sports medicine team is rewarding, as you see others succeed because of the help you have given.  To learn more about becoming an athletic training student please call Eric Isom, or Mike Rodrigues, or come by the training room.  Summer practices are starting soon, and we could use your help to make St. George’s athletics the best it has ever been!

PARKING IN FRONT OF THE STOKES FIELDHOUSE

Due to Fire Marshall recommendations, we are asking that all parents refrain from parking in the circle drive in front of the Stokes Fieldhouse. The circle drive is clearly marked as a fire lane and should not be blocked by cars. In the event of an emergency situation, blocking the fire lane would hender emergency vehicles and personnel, which could possibly lead to harmful and/or fatal results. Please park in designated parking spots when waiting for athletes to finish practice/games. Thank you.

KROGER CARDS ARE HERE

The Gryphon Athletic Department is happy to announce that the Kroger Cards have arrived. We encourage all of you to stop by the athletic office to pick yours up today. They are $5 and already have $5 loaded on them. What we would like for you to do is to continue to load money on the card and use it like a debit card to pay for your groceries at Kroger. The Gryphon Athletic Department will get 5% of all money spent using these cards. Stop by and get your card today!

GRYPHON PHOTOGRAPHS

Please visit sggryphons.com to purchase action photos for all sports.  All photo proceeds benefit the St. George's Gryphon Athletic Department.  Thanks to the generous donation made this year, we now have permanent press boxes on the Soccer field and the MS Football/Lacrosse field, as well as record boards for all sports that will be displayed in the main hall of the Stokes Fieldhouse. Other items made possible to the Athletic Department by the generous donations from sggryphons.com in the past include trainer supplies, which also includes an Ultrasound Therapy Machine and the GameReady Stim Unit, and the second Trophy Case, which proudly display our many State Championship and Runner-Up trophies. Your support of sggryphons.com makes a huge and direct impact on our athletic program and is much appreciated by the St. George's Gryphon Athletic Department.

NO PARKING ON THE BRIDGE ROAD

This is just a reminder to all parents of Athletes.  Parking on the Bridge Road is prohibited.  It is an extreme safety issue.  We have asked all coaches to hold the teams on the field after practice if there are cars parked on the road adjacent to the practice field. Please do not be one of those cars!!!
A "NO PARKING" ticket/sticker will be implemented this year to help alleviate this problem.  Please be aware that if your car is parked in a non-designated parking area, it will be subject to receiving this sticker affixed to the driver's side window.  Please use designated parking areas only!

NO PETS PLEASE

As a consideration to our facilities and to others, we ask that you not walk your pets on any of the athletic facilities or have them at any athletic events.
