Choral Accolades:
Congratulations to the St. George's students who auditioned and were selected into the All Southwest Honor Choir this month. Over 600 students auditioned in both the High and Junior High categories this year and these students worked long and hard on their own to learn five to six choral pieces for the audition. We are so proud and honored that St. George's will be represented in this year's choir by the following

Chorus Curriculum Overview
All Boys Chorus: Consists sixth grade boys. This choir focuses on developing proper vocal technique and beginning music theory. This choir performs a winter and spring concert and participates in West Tennessee Festival Chorus yearly.
All Girls Chorus: Consists of sixth grade girls. This choir focuses on developing proper vocal technique and beginning music theory. This choir performs a winter and spring concert and participates in West Tennessee Festival Chorus yearly.
Mixed Choir: Consists of seventh and eighth grade students who have a desire and enthusiasm for singing. Students learn music from various countries, proper vocal technique, and intermediate music theory. This choir performs winter and spring concerts.
Concert Choir: This audition-only choir consists of seventh and eighth grade students who have a strong desire and enthusiasm for singing. Students learn music from various countries, proper vocal technique, and intermediate music theory. In addition to performing a winter and spring concert, this ensemble particpates in the All Southwest Honor Choir auditions and All West Tennessee Junior High Choral Festival.
Upper School Chamber Singers: This audition-only choral ensemble consists of students in grades 9-12 who not only have a strong desire and enthusiasm for choral singing but are advanced singers. Students learn music from various countries, proper vocal technique, and advanced music theory. In addition to performing a winter and spring concert, this ensemble participates in the All Southwest Honor Choir auditions and All West Tennessee Senior High Choral Festival.
