STARS is our after-school care and after-school recreation program.   The program is available for students from the time of regular school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. on all regularly scheduled school days.  After-school care is not offered on holidays, breaks, or noon dismissal days prior to fall break, winter break, spring break, and the last day of school.  The STARS after-school care program ends at 6:00 p.m. each school day.  A late fee of $10 per child is assessed for the first five minutes after 6:00 p.m., with an additional $1.00 per minute for every minute after 6:05 p.m.

Students enrolled in STARS after-school care program will enjoy a daily snack, free time, and other age-appropriate planned activities.  Structured activities include playing games, watching videos, playing outside, making crafts, reading books, and other various activities.  Quiet homework time will also be provided for students in grades three through five on a daily basis.

The STARS after-school recreation program will incorporate a variety of intramural and enrichment classes that students can sign up for at an additional cost.  Most classes will be an hour in length, and class offerings will begin at 2:30 p.m. or 3:15 p.m.
